window size reset

Dear Frends

i've a master window in the maximize state, but when i navigate to another window( a small size detailed window -i want it to be shown on the master window keeping the master on back) the master window sixe gets reset to its original size.

i'm using Developer2000 ,forms-5 on windowsXP

plz help
