Why is the dialog box width and height not the same when I use winsize to set the size. My dialog box is set with a height of 85. If I use winsize x 85, the height it much smaller.

That is because the winsize uses screen pixels to set the size, while the various dialog commands in ASPECT use dialogbox units (DBUs). Think of it as using inches and feet, although I'm not aware of a conversion factor from pixels to DBUs or vice versa.
