While downloading a surity update from microsoft updates I also stupidlydownloaded something called "WindowsIDE Hard Drive Cache Pkg Ver 4,10,0,2222" and
"Windows 98 2nd Ed. Mapped Drives Shutdown Ver4, 10,0,2222
Now my computer hangs and wont shutdown at all
Shutdown starts, goes to Windows logo window and "That all Folks"
I think Mapped drives download is the culprit. Tell me how I can undo the screwup, please. I'm tied of pulling the plug. Thanks

well if you D-loaded those you know where to look at
try to uninstall and hand remove leftover
utilize a very good little app such as
to clean your registry.
If you are not familiar with the reg, beware and take enough time to weight your actions
then I will go in real DOS and perform a reg restore
by chosing a date before your "fatal!!" last D-load
