Folks,
How do you initialize the windex database on Solaris? When I install Solaris 8, 'whatis' commands don't work, so I know I need to update or make windex information. Anyone have the command? Man windex pulled up a C library man page.

Hi jaymzter,

to only create the windex database (so that you can use whatis or man -k for a keyword search through the man pages or man -f for man pages related to certain files) do "catman -w". For all other possibilities check the catman(1M) man page.
