Hi All,
I've been battling with this project for a while now and cannot seem to get any further.
I am trying to use the WINBIND module to authenticate users to the NT Domain Controller.
Has anyone managed to do this.
I've installed SAMBA compiled from source with-winbind option.
Join the NT Domain.
Configured the Winbind options in smb.conf
Started smbd, smbd and winbinnd
Copied the compiled WINBIND module to /usr/lib/security
Added WINBIND to /usr/lib/security/methods.cfg
Changed SYSTEM value of /etc/security/user to WINBIND or compat
I can now change permissions of files etc to NT users and groups
lsuser NTUSER works.
But I cannot su - NTUSER
I get an Invalid username or password
Followed by User X does not exist.
Has anyone managed to get this to work?
Many thanks....
