My Norton Antivirus quarantined a file named winampw.exe and now I can not open any application, without getting a error message. "Windows cannot find winampw.exe This program is needed for opening files of type application". I've looked in product recovery CD,and operating system CD.

Norton should have stopped that virus, when you get it cleaned make sure that not only your virus definitions but also the Norton program files are up to date. The program files do not update automatically, you must run live update manually to do this. Help us to help you, please post back and tell us if this helped.
