I have a 2000 AD Server running Exchange , main logon server. Also on the network is a 2000 file server/ print server , a member server, not AD replicater no problems mapping or printing.

Added a Windows 2003 server as a member server , added it to the domain but after @ 6 hours the Win 9.X clients cannot map to the data drives . Server is running SQL and .NET.

Not really. I was only adding the SQL bit for what my college lecturer used to call "completeness".

They can't even see shared folders.

Stop and disable the computer browser service on the W2K3 box.

I've just had that box fall off the network again and have tried your suggestion xmsre and it worked.....

Why?

and thank you....
