For some reason my PC wont allow a telnet session to be made after the machine has been on for over 24hrs. I have other machines with the same OS on the same network that dont have this issue. Ive searched MS technet and symantecs tech support and none of their suggestions worked. Any ideas?

Sounds like something might be consuming resources to the point where certain things won't happen after awhile.
Have you checked for spyware and virus?
I like spybot, don't forget to update it...

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
