I keep giving myself these "old computer" challenges. A friend's computer was not very functional, so I offered to redo the o/s with SE. Everything went well until the network card installation. She has 2 sets of installation floppies, SOHOware (NDC 10/100 F/E Adapter v2.11) and Linksys (Ether16 LAN). The card itself has precious little info except the NDC logo and SFA110A (the card did work under the old setup so I'm sure it's still ok). I believe the bus is PCI.

I have tried 6 ways to Sunday every combination I can think of to get this up and running, including treating it as a NE2000. Having the 2 sets of floppies in hand before I started, I didn't see any issue with setting up the NIC.

If I treat the NIC as an NDC, the only option using the wizard is a "..credit card adapter.." whatever that is, and when I go through the process I get to the point where I am asked to define the model, but no model shows in the window.

I have attended the NDC website only to be redirected to SOHOware and the diver I have is the latest and greatest.

Aside from trying to acquire a replacement card (don't laugh - I know it's funnny, but don't laugh anyway), any bright useable ideas.

Thanks Franklin.
I'll try the driver; say a prayer for me!
