I have a problem with one of my users connecting to the network via VPN. The user dials in fine and connects but I can not get Outlook to locate my e-mail server or any other server for that matter.
I can connect to all my server through the VPN connection from home on my XP machine.

I noticed under the network settings that it shows the VPN adapter and NDISWAN and a TCP/IP (Dial Up adapter). I thought that the VPN needed to bound to a TCP/IP protocol.
If this is the case then why can't I get it to install properly?
This is the only machine I have had problem with connecting to the VPN and using the network from a remote location.

System Specs for the network
NT Server 4.0 sp6a
Wins is installed
Using DHCP for IP's
Global scope has been added.

Like I said this is the only one I have a problem with.

Is the client using your WINS server? If not, it may not be able to resolve a NETBIOS name.
If not, add the name of the relevant exchange server in the LMHOSTS file, (this is the important file to take note of, and as per the previous message, the hosts file could be modified too, although this is for DNS entries, not for NETBIOS entries).
