Ive just built a new PC with athlon xp 1400 and jetway v226b, it wont run the setup exe for win98 i get firstly 'localised text missing or corrupt' (esc though this) then i get 'setup could not decompress this setup (.cab) file and continue'. Have checked 98disk, used 3 different boot disks, FSB is set to 100mhz.

Anyone got an idea

try turning off L2 cache or other setting that will slow your PC down, run setup again if it will work, if it does after you install windows you can enable caching again..
