Win98 SE and activeX Events

Hi,

When running an activeX program on windows 98SE the events do not fire(trigger) at all. The Event Handler is in javascript. It works under all other OS(and IE versions) when opened in the main internet explorer instance. (note events will not fire if opened in a new browser window for any OS or IE version). Does IE and activeX work differently under win98SE and open ALL browser windows as if they were "new windows"? or is there something else that means events can not fire?
