Win98 reboot problem.

Windows98 intermittently reboots when trying to use the dialup with a modem. PcAnywhere 9.0 is installed on this
system as well. As soon as you try to dial out the system
reboots. Appreciate any help!
 
What kind of mouse are you using? Is it a serial mouse? This problem sounds like you have something else using the same COM port as your modem which is causing an IRQ conflict and can cause your system to reboot. If you do have a serial mouse, try changing the resources of the modem.
