We are a netgear phoneline network 4 computers and the compaq presario win 98 has stopped working on the dsl line. Somehow it isn't recognizing the driver it keeps saying unknown. We are running on windows networking and the netgear is to use the existing phoneline to link. What do I need to do to get the dsl working again. It works on dial up . Also it looks like the driver is vtdi 386.

The other three computers work find and I changed the phoneline cord but it seems the registry isn't set up right.
Any suggestions.

When you say "unknown" do you mean it is seeing a PCI Ethernet or an Unknown Device. Normally if it sees a PCI Ethernet Device that is a sign of the driver not loaded or corrupted. If it's coming up as Unknown Device, it could be either a bad slot on the board or a defective card. Try moving the card to a different slot and see what happens. Enkrypted
