My firewall intercepted Windows 98 file loadqm.exe trying to access the internet. I refused it access. Should I have let it access? What does this file do? Could a hacker get in through this portal? Thanks. Tom

I think it's part of MSN messenger - probably trying to access internet for automatic updates. Probably not a problem but annoying - IMHO there is no security risk here.
If you don't want to use messenger remove it or continue to block this process.
