Win98 file disappeared with Win2000 installation

Hi there,

I have installed win2000 on top of Win98 with the file format NTFS in one partition of the disk (C. Now the file I had in D disk, can't find.

Is there any way to find those file. Any help regarding this is extremely valuable to me and will be highly appreciated.

Was the file a system file? If so check that the view options in Windows Explorer is set to show all files and not to hide system files.

Thanks for your reply. No. This is basically a copy of My Document directory. There are some important document there. Any help regarding this will be highly appreciable.
