Win98&2000, Oracle & Access97 some Win2000 not working

Help please.
The network we are using has machines with windows2000 & windows98 on them.

I’m trying to write an application in Access97 (not all the machines have Access on them) I’ve copied the db onto all the machines C: drives along with the system.mdw file. The form writing to a linked Oracle Tbl located on the server (everyone having write access to the Tbl).

All the machines are identically set up yet only some of the machines with win2000 will write to the Tbl.

Any suggestions would be a great help
