I have a large QIC file wproduced in WIN95.

How do I restore this in NT 4.0 when the backup exec only deals in tape drives? And Microsoft say that the two operating systems produce incompatible QIC files?

Try Backup MyPC from Stomp found @ - There's a trial version available to download - worked for me under Windows 2000 (QIC file written in Win98). It's written by Veritas (or uses the Veritas Backup Exec Desktop engine) and looks and feels the same as MS Backup.

Trust Microsap to not make MS Backup downward compatible...
