win32 exception with LifeCycle Designer ata start up

Since installing MS SQL 2008 and SQL Report Writer on two of our computers Adobe Lifecycle Designer ES 8.2 (which was working fine on both machines before these were installed) now crashes with 'an unhandled win32 exception occured in FormDesigner.exe [6252]' when we attempt to start Designer. Weve tried removing and reinstalling Designer but this seems to have no affect and the error persists. We can't remove MS SQL 2008 and SQL Report writer as they are being used on a project, so wonder if anyone might know what is causing this error or how we might ascertain what is causing in and fix it.
