Hi,

I've created an application in VB6, with the OS Win98,
and it works great on my computer.
I have mailed the application to a friend, who has the OS WinXP. When she tries to start the application, she gets an error, saying that it is "not a valid Win32 application".
Does anybody know how I can solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Have you installed SP5 on the VB development PC prior to distribution?

During setup, are all controls your application uses installed during the setup?

Are you using the package and deployment wizard?

Patrick.

I think your friend received the downloaded file corrupted. Tell her to download the file again. If it fails, then probably the file might not be uploaded(attached) properly. Try e-mailing your program file again.
