Win2k3 SP2 installation steps for Cluster nodes (SQL db)

Hi all,

We have SQL 2005 DB Server on Win2k3 64bit. We plan to install current Win2k3 SP1 to SP2.

From microsoft general cluster articles, passive nodes are to be applied 1st.

Are there previous experience on Win2k3 SP2 installation on DB Clusters that you can share and advise and the risks?

Never seen any issues in doing updates to nodes.

Upgrade/patch a passive node reboot as many times as it wants.

Check logs for issues after a couple of hours, failover, i generally let it run for a week before doing the other nodes just to be on the safe side.
