Hello,

At home I've a Win2K professional computer. I use my own account on this computer.
At the office we've got a network where I can connect to using VPN. When I connect, I type the username/password and domain for the network at the office.
The connection gets esthablissed.
When I want to map a network drive, I have to type my office userid and password again.
Collegues of mine use WinXP, and they don't have to type there userid/password again.

I think Win2K tries to map the drive using the account by which I logged on to the home computer, and WinXP maps the drive using the account which made de connection.

Is my assumption correct?
Has anyone a solution for me and the other Win2k-users, so we won't have to type our password over and over again.

Thanks very much.

The best way is to use the "logon using dial-up connection" when you initially logon to your machine. That way you get all of your office settings. Now if you don't want to you can setup a small batch file to map all of your drives with the proper username and password.
