Win2K VPN with Linksys Router

Please, I need some help.

I have Win2K Adavanced Sever SP2 running VPN server. I can access it while on the Intranet by specifying both the server name and the server IP address so I know it is working.

I have the Linksys Cable/DSL Router BEFSR11. I have PPTP enabled and port 1723 open.

I am trying to access from a WinXP laptop outside the firewall and I keep getting Error 712, The remote computer didn't respond. The same laptop when connected on the Intranet can connect with the VPN Server perfectly.
