I've got a stand-alone Win2k server in a Workgroup environment. The server is multi-homed with one Nic programmed for a public IP (includes default gateway, and DNS servers) the other Nic sits on the LAN segment and is programmed as follows:

IP=192.168.2.200
SM=255.255.255.0
DNS1=192.168.2.1(a DFL-700 firewall which handles DHCP & DNS and is the default gateway for workstations on LAN)

RRAS is programmed as a VPN server and assigns static IP's in the 172.20.3.0-172.20.3.50 range(WAN has filters enbable).

When I try to ping a host from a remote client I get a reply host can not be found; when I ping a remote client from a host on the LAN I get the IP resolved but no packets returned?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have not blocked icmp traffic on the router and on the clients make sure the Default Gateway is Correct
