OK hope some one has an answer for me.

I have a windows 2000 server 2 nics running vpn currently this server is outside the firewall with all the appropriat filters inplace. I have two internal lans 63.x.x.x and 206.x.x.x clients can connect to vpn and authenticate.
I am recieving IP's from the 63.x.x.x network.

My question is do I need a nic for each internal LAN.
Putting in static routes does not allow me to get to the 206.x.x.x network.

Does the client machine know the route? You MIGHT be able to set one in DHCP but you don't want that to go to local machines.

The client machines only add the route for your 63.x.x.x network because that is where they are getting thier address.

route add 206.x.x.x mask x.x.x.x 63.x.x.x(63 address of VPN server)

Is the route being added to the client or server and which adapter do I set as the gateway the one on the internal 63.x.x.x lan or the virtual adapter

Thanks

the way mine is set up:
Internet NIC:12.x.x.x (with gateway address defined)
Lan NIC:10.x.x.x (with no gateway)
no virtual nic
Static route for 192.168.x.x via another router at 10.x.x.x
