I currently use the GPO on a Windows 2000 domain and I have configured the Client's Active Desktop settings to use a single wallpaper (.bmp file) located on another server for all client machines to use as their wallpaper. The downside is that the users that run XP get an Icon with a solid background color as opposed to their transparent background when Active Desktop is not used. Is there a way in the GPO to set the path of the wallpaper to a .bmp file and not use Active Desktop?
