I'm looking to put up a web page on a Win2K server in our environmnet. I know you can put the files in the folder of the c:\inetpub folder. What else needs to be configured beyond this point?

Thanks!

Bring up IIS, go to the default web site, go to the directory that you want to be a web service, right click and go to properties, click on the create of the application name.

This will make the directory web site available and accessible through IE.

don't forget to add your default document type. index.htm or index.html isn't in there to start. MS uses default.htm default.asp.

Add an alias for custom name resolution. If you need to you can use iis host headers to host more than one site on the same machine
