On the Logon/Authentication screen for Win2k Server the Shutdown option is "greyed out." How can I make this button "active?"

Thank you SO very much! I have been looking for this setting in the registry, off and on as time permitted, for MONTHS! I really do appreciate the help!
 
hm... just a question.. isn't it then possible to shutdown via remote?
 
Hi,
It is possible to shutdown remotely using shutdown.exe from res kit.Even if you enable the policy disable shutdown without logon it is possible to shutdown the pc remotely.

there are lots of utilities for that. shutdown.exe is one of then . another one is shutgui.exe which graphical version of shutdown.exe from res kit.
