Win2k Server Shutdown Option 1

On the Logon/Authentication screen for Win2k Server the Shutdown option is "greyed out." How can I make this button "active?"

Through Group Policy. Computer Configuration-> Windows Settings-> Security Settings-> Local Policies-> Security Options, Allow system to be shut down without having to logon... Thanks,

Hi,
It is possible to shutdown remotely using shutdown.exe from res kit.Even if you enable the policy disable shutdown without logon it is possible to shutdown the pc remotely.

there are lots of utilities for that. shutdown.exe is one of then . another one is shutgui.exe which graphical version of shutdown.exe from res kit.
