I am not sure if anyone can help me on this one, but I have a Win2k server that is restarting during startup in an infinate loop!
Details: Startup proceeds as normal all the way up to the logon screen. At that point, you can hear the drive activity in the background as services are starting. Then it just restarts. I have tried safe-mode with network, safe mode, last known good configuration, and debug mode. I am about to go into recovery console but I doubt that I can find anything in there.
My development team was testing software on it, so I suspect that there is a problem with a service or a component of a service that is causing the restarts but it is odd that I do not even get an error message.
Any ideas? Perhaps someone knows of a trick that I don't. (I hope)
System Specs: This server install has been running for 3 months now without any problems. It is Win2000 Server with SP1. The hardware is a standard Dell Intel box with nothing fancy going on.
