Hey, I have a new Win2k Server and would like to implement it in our NT4 Domain as a BDC/logon server. Is this possible and how do I do this?

Thanks.

There is no such an option in w2k. In w2k a server can be a domain controller and share the same AD database with other DCs. There is no distintion like nt 4.0. A domain controller can not be a BDC for a nt 4.0 PDC. In order to set up a domain controler you need to set up active directory, so you will need a separate domain with w2k server and nt 4.0 servers. You can make two domains and create trust between them. DZ

or you can upgrade your PDC to Win2K and then migrate your BDC's to Win2K
as long as your new (P)DC runs the PDC emulator, all your downlevel clients will be able to log on.
