Win2k search- propetiies- winsp2 problems

Have a few problems, seem related as all appeared around same time.
PC PIII-300mz win2k pro on win 2k network.
1. when using "start" "search" machine slows doen to less than crawl, it takes a few minutes just for the word enetered to search box to appear on screen.
2. when I right click my C: drive and choose
properties nothing happens!It works ok on all other drives etc.
3. tried reinstalling serv. pack2 twice, it hangs when installing the files both times.

Redownload the SP2 , perhapse it is currapted ..
I think there is a problem in ytour windows ,, perhapse u r not administrator ...
about the search ,, I think it may do this when you install Office ! sometimes the error appears in asoftware u r using ,,
try to close the index from Search advanced ,, sometimes this solve the problem ,,, Mohamed Farid
