Hi,
Last week I upgraded my win98 to win2k pro(both in dutch) and want to take advantage of better user profiling. I have 6 end-users at home, and want to know if there are specific steps or config switches that need to be set to install programs so they can be used by all.
Sofar with the upgrade, i have a pile of previously (win98) installed programs like ICQ, Neoplanet, etc that only work for the admin. Some other programs seem to accessible to the other users when i redefine them as power-users, but the other issues are not resolved.
To my understanding common programs should be accessible via 'All Users' - I just don't know why some programs are there, and others are not. Also, ICQ does show up as a launch group (start button) for all users, but is empty for every one but admin. If other users launch ICQ, it will fail eventually with a C++ error messge.
Any help much appreciated!
