hi,
I'v win98 on my machine with 64MB ram.
I want to install win2k server instead of win98.
when i boot my system by win2k CD it goes to win98.
How can I install win2k on my machine?
I don't want to have win98.

win 2000 server need min 128MB ram, anyway,
in win98 insert the server2000 CD, it will give u error that can't upgrade the win98 , but can install a FRESH copy of win 2000 server

say Yes or next and it will start installing the win2000 server, once win2000 start copying file after restarting then choose the same partition for win2000 installation where your win98 reside,

once installation complete, windows 2000 server will start, by giving u two option of win98 and server2000, Start 2000 server and then in explorer u can delete the windows 98 directory safely

to disable the start up menu, go to control panel > system > advance and "startup and recovery tab" and disable the "display operating system "
or u can just edit the boot.ini and remove the windows98 line from the operating system line.
Hope this will help , it did help for me
