We have migrated our users to win2k and it would appear that when a catalog is opened, the 'new' database is not being added to cognos.ini.
They are using Impromptu User, if I open their catalog using Impromptu Admin, it does add the new entry.
Do they have admin rights to their machine? A lot of companies do not allow their users to have admin rights to their own machine in order to stop them from installing software. I have encountered this when trying to add ODBC connections and if the user does not have admin rights it will not save the connection.
