Win2k hangs on install

I am having trouble installing win2k on a pc with an internal zip drive. The PC hangs while displaying "setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration". I am aware of article kb Q252349. I have unplugged the zip drive and still have the same prob. I have contacted the PC manufacturer and they say that the PC is win2k compatible.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

How long do you let it go. Depending on the type of system I have seen that particular part of win2K take up to 2 HOURS!!. So be patient and give it another try. If it keeps happening try replacing the RAM and try again. Please let us (Tek-tips members) know if the solutions we provide are helpful to you. Not only do they help you but they may help others.
