Win2K Freezes browsing directory with over 300 files

Hi All,

I've got a wierd problem here. On a group of machines in our office, the users access a directory with over 300 files and directories under it. When their NICs are set to 100/Full, and their switch ports set to 100/full, the PC's hang when opening a file using Excel or Outlook from that directory.
When I set the NIC and the switch port to 10/half, I have no problems browsing in that directory.

Any ideas?
