Win2K DNS Backup and Restore best practice?

Hi all,

Does anyone have some hints or tips for backup/restore of
Win2k DNS? This is not a question about backing up the entire
server, but just the zones and whatever registry entries are
required.

Depends on your configuration actually.

If you have a standard primary dns server, you can setup secondary dns servers for a backup for the zones.

If your DNS is AD-integrated, then a backup of the system state of your DC should also backup the DNS stuff

Alternatively, an excellent script (dnsdump) which can backup and restore your dns is downloadable from
