Hello all,
I know there are about a million threads about the bsod, so what's one more? I'm running Win2K server on a Dell 1400SC PowerEdge dual pentium III machine. All was running fine until I tried to install Veritas Backup Exec 8.5 (the cd that shipped with the machine.) After install, upon reboot, I get the bsod "...driver couldn't be loaded. \systemroot\sytem32\drivers\scsichng.sys" I boot up in safe mode and look at the device manager, and the Archive Python tape drive is showing an exclamation point - driver not loaded. I've tried reinstalling the driver and it appears successful, but on reboot - same bsod. I've removed the device completely - same result. I haven't physically removed the tape drive, should I? Is plug and play messing with me?

I've tried booting from the Win2k CD and repair the installation i.e. check system files. I get an error saying it can't repair the installation. something to do with a restore file being invalid. I didn't write it down, sorry.

I tried booting to the last known good configuration, same blue screen.

I don't want to reinstall the OS if I can avoid it, but it's looking like that's my only option unless someone has the answer.

Thanks for any help
