I have a Western Digital Caviar Model WD600AB-00BVA0 60 Gig hard drive that is 2 months old. It has 1 primary dos partition showing 57,239 Mb when using fdisk. Win2K stops a few minutes after reboot with the message "Hard drive corrupt and cannot be repaired. Press F3 to exit setup." WinME runs fine on the drive. I tried the installation disk on another computer with a 10 Gig hard drive and it installed fine. Any suggestions?

Some of the things I've tried:
Upgrade from WinME
Dual boot with WinME
Dual boot and install W2K on 2gig slave
Upgrade to 128 meg ram
Reformat Hard Drive.
Searched WEB and Microsoft Knowledge Base for this error.
Looked at Western Digital's site.

Have you tried getting an RMA # from Western Digitals Website and sending it back for repair? They have a 3 year warranty and it sounds as if you should. Possible bad drive.
