At my location we have two different (X,Y) networks both TCP/IP NT. Network X has static IPs. For the most part they act completely independent of each other, except for one application. This application server is located on the Y network. The clients on the X network need to run this application. We have a router (Cisco 2500) that connects the two networks. We also use a manual entry in the routing table of all the clients to point them to network Y when they are looking for a particular subnet range. This has worked smoothly since it was developed as Win98 being the major client. Now since we have upgraded to Win2000Pro the clients on network X can no longer communicate with application server on network Y. "Destination net unreachable" when attempting a ping or tracert to the Y network. The routing table on the clients have the correct entry. Is there any additional services that need to be turned on? I tried turning on the Remote Routing Service, to no avail. And strangley enough the clients that were upgraded to 2000 from 98 via UPGRADE still work, only the clients that were upgraded via CLEAN INSTALL are the ones not working. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? TIA.
