I have Win2000 w/SP1, installed on a system I built. It continues to freeze for no apparent reason. There are no hardware or I/O conflicts shown in Device Manager. I get no error messages. The only thing I can do is hard boot the computer, because CTL/ALT/DEL does not get me to the Taskmanager. HELP PLEASE!!
Hardware:
Tyan 230 PIII Dual Processor MB
PIII 650 MHz CPUs 370 Flip Chips
256 MB RAM 133
Canopus XPlode Graphics Card w32MB onboard RAM w/2000 drivers
Canopus DVRex Video Editing Capture Card w/2000 drivers
Canopus DVRT sister Editing Card w/2000 drivers
Sound Blaster Live Value Sound Card w/2000 drivers
Adaptec 2940 UW SCSI Card
Medea External 40GB SCSI Drive
Maxtor 20GB IDE Drive 7200 RPM
CDROM 48x IDE
Floppy 1.44
I have changed memory, to no avail. I have built this system with the same configuration at least 5 times. No problem. The only difference is in the Motherboard. The other systems had the Tyan 100 Dual Processor 100FSB, but it's been discontinued.
I would appreciate any Help.
Thanks
