Its all well and good but a Linux NTFS boot disk would achieve the same results in a matter of seconds as opposed to minutes. If users can boot from a CDROM or floppy drive then no real security can ever exist.

Right, and if you have this much access you can take the computer home with you and use it as your own. Come on guy, if you let people have access to your servers you shouldn't have anything on them you care about and they shouldn't be doing anything important.
