Win2000 Adv Server & Office 2000

Afternoon ..

I have recently installed Win2000 ADV Server as well as Office 2000.

For some reason, every time I get into Excel, Word or whatever, it goes through some install procedure. Any idea why? Using Win95, 98 & ME, I never had this problem.

Did you install a default installation of Office, or a custom installation (and selected to install all components...) ? Peter Van Eeckhoutte

It was a default install, Win 2000, only change I made was to turn off the Office Assistant. Hopefully this does not constitute a custom install.

When you do a default install, your clients will need the cd several times...
You must do a custom install, and select all components to be installed (the checkbox should be white instead of grey) Peter Van Eeckhoutte

There is a known issue with the installer running - and not being able to find a particular dll. To remedy this, apply Service Pack 2.
