WIN10 Freezing WordPerfect12

WINDOWS 10; WordPerfect12 -

Working in a WP table, and regularly if I try to add/delete a row / rows, WP goes to [NOT RESPONDING| mode . . . and so then it out to TaskManager to EndTask and start all over in WP.

Any resolution for this frustrating fight between WP and WIN10?

Windows 10 - 32 or 64 bit
Wordperfect - 32 or 64 bit

Did this version work on W7 (32 or 64 bit)?
Did this version work on XP (32 or 64 bit)?

Possibility 1: wordperfect 12 was probably released in 2012 and may not be compatible with W10. Try a later version.
Possibility 2: You are running a 32-bit version on a 64 bit machine - try running in compatibility mode of the last os it was working on.
