Have you tried one of these disks in another PC? You may have a floppy drive issue in her PC, but I would try and see if one of the disks would do the same in your PC for example.
If the floppy works in another PC, then her floppy drive needs replaced.

something else to look at...timing in the Bios for the chipset or memory will cause this symptom.
