I have tried 3 internal and one external modems (all known good) with the same result. The OS sees the modem and copies the correct drivers but then windows will not load them. I have XP pro (sp1). I've seen the many posts and fixes for similar problems with cd drives but no resolutions for the modem problem. Thanks for any help
