Hi,
I'm looking for information regarding the Win XP firewall option in the 'network connections' connectoids. Sure for the ethernet card I could understand what it would do in a LAN enviroment, but I'm more concerned over its uses with broadband connections such as with PPPoE connections. Any reference articles or comments would be helpful...

thx

The firewall in xp is extremely basic. Its uses include the ability to let any intruder in that you dont want in. Bassicly it was put in to be used in a rather short list of new items in XP over NT/2000. Use a third party firewall like tiny or kiero<(sp) Yu can google to find both of them. They used to be the same comapny but broke off into thier own ways. I prefer Kiero but already have tiny so im sticking with it.
