Sorry guys, but this is also posted int he Vista forum. I am just wondering if anyone knows if there are any problems with certain Win Server 2003 GPO's working with Vista, or if someone could point me in the right direction. I am currently setting up 40 Vista Business PC's in an AD integrated Win Server 2k3 domain and completely replicating the GPO's they had in place when they were using XP Pro, and I want to try an eliminate any problems with group policy. Thanks in advance!

There are new policies that can leverage features of Vista, but generally speaking you should not encounter problems with older GPOs. Since there are over 10,000 possible GPO settings, you would need to be a lot more specific on what you are setting in GPO for a more definitive answer.

I hope you find this post helpful.

To be a bit more specific, the GPO's would be mostly restrictive policies. These PC's would be for students and we don't want them modifying certain things, moving things around, viewing things, being able to only run particular software, etc etc... Nothing too fancy, but mainly I would like to know if certain GPO's would be affected by the UAC. I have read about logon scripts not working correctly with UAC, but I am looking more for mainly GPO's affected. Thanks!

Removal of the run command, restricting access to right clicks and the like should all work the same.

I hope you find this post helpful.
