Hi Everybody!

Ok, i'm stuck with something here. I need help.

Just got a new job here, and part of the job is to build a network.

Here is the situation (i don't have much experience in advanced server and network building, you can judge by yourself)

The client needed 3 physical servers: 1 DC + 1 cluster of 2 SQL server for an SQL application.

The guy i am replacing already made a quote by ordering 3 Thinkserver with Windows server 2008 STD r2.
Now, i see that windows server 2008 Enterprise or Datacenter is requested for a cluster to be built.

But i saw on the net that it's possible to build a cluster with HyperV, witch is coming with windows server std 2008 r2.

Can i install windows server 2008 std on 2 different physical servers, build a virtual machine on those servers, and build a cluster with those machines?

I never built a Virtual machine before, and never built a cluster before.. so i'm pretty lost here, but keeping hope!

What would be the ideal confirguration to do this?

Thanks guys!

- Jeremie.
