For the past few weeks I have been plauged by something that causes almost all my applications to stop running and giving a "not a win32 application" error.
I wanted to remove the screen drivers or to update them but I even get this error when I try to open the System in the Control panel.
The only way I correct it is to boot up with a stiffy and then put in the original Win ME CD and do a reinstall over the old one. This takes about 40 min and all my settings seems to be restore and so it is not the end of the world .. but I would like to know how I can prevent this from happening.
Is there not a way I can make an image of my Windows files with something like Ghost and then restore the image over the faulty one?
Any help would be very greatfully accepted.
